Employees State Insurance:-
ESI (Employee State Insurance) is the
self-financing social security and health insurance scheme for Indian
workers and it it used for the benefits of employee in case of
sickness, maternity and employee injury and to make provisions for
related matters. As the name suggest that it is basically an
insurance scheme that is employee get the benefits if he/she is sick
or injured.
Every employees who earning 15000Rs. Or
less per month as wages, the company contributes 4.75 % and employee
contributes 1.75% . Total share 6.5 %. This fund is managed by the
ESIC accounting to rules and regulations under the ESI Act 1948.

Who needs to be ESI Registration?
According
to Employees' State Insurance Act 1948, any business enterprise
employing manpower 10 or more than 10 and who draws wages less than
15000/- per month is liable to enter into ESI schemes directly or
indirectly.
ESI Benefits:
When employee contributes at least 9
months then he/she to get the full benefits of ESI scheme. Benefits
include treatment, sickness, maternity, disability and dependent
benefits.
